HOW TO SIGN UP
Volley Iowa is a proud AVP America & AVP juniors partner. In order to sign up for our tournaments you must have a valid AVP America membership. Silver Membership is $25/year. This membership is good for 365 days, and allows you to find and participate in all AVP America events throughout the country. In addition, you also receive discounts from AVP sponsors, and offers VIP experiences for AVP Pro Tour events. You will be assigned a membership number that you will use to sign up for all AVP America tournaments nationwide.
Once you have your AVP number, simply click the link below to sign up for any of our tournaments.
*When signing up for an AVP Membership, please choose Volley Iowa as your organization!*
** Parents, you will also need a FREE Basic AVP Membership to manage your child's tournaments and registration.**
Parent/Guardian Membership:
In 2021, AVP updated the membership system to require a parent account in order to renew or create a minor membership (member under the age of 18)

Parents/Guardians are required to create a Basic (free) Membership in order to manage/create a membership for a minor.

Once a parent/guardian has created their free membership, they can link the child’s membership to their account.

AGE DIVISIONS
Both players on the team must qualify for age division they are competing in.
Any player may choose to play in any age division higher than the one they qualify for.
Depending on interest level, age divisions may be combined if there are not enough teams signed up to hold that age division.
12-AND-UNDER DIVISION:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2010
14-AND-UNDER DIVISION:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2008
16-AND-UNDER DIVISION:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2006
18-AND-UNDER DIVISION:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2004
- OR -
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2003 AND a high school student in the 12th grade or below during some part of the current academic year
18-AND-UNDER DIVISION:
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2004
- OR -
Players who were born on or after September 1, 2003 AND a high school student in the 12th grade or below during some part of the current academic year

HOW TO
Earn A Bid
How to Earn a Bid:

Bids can be earned to each 4-Star event at any qualifying event based on the bid window above

All AVP America Junior events are qualifiers

1-Star events award bids to 1st & 2nd place teams as long as there are at least 5 teams in the division

2-Star events award bids to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place teams as long as there are at least 5 teams in the division
-
No trickle-down bids
-
Bid winners can play with any partner of their choice.

Only one partner per team is required to have earned a bid.

Bids are not age specific. Players can compete in any age group as long as they have not aged out based on our Junior Age Requirements.

Players will be required to compete in their respective divisions at the time of the event (see Junior Age Requirements, which updated on 9/1/2022).
Coaching
Pass
Safety for our Juniors is very important to us, which is why everyone at Volley Iowa and AVP Juniors are required to have background checks, and safe sport certification. In addition, all coaches are requested to register with us.
Coaches are required to make sure you have completed all the requirements in order to coach at this event:

Background Screening must be completed and cleared one week prior to event start date.

Active SILVER AVP Membership

AVP America Coaching Pass to be completed one week prior to event start date

Coaches MUST check-in with AVP Staff at event to receive coaching credentials for the event

Make sure you know the Coaching Rules that were included in the AVP America Coaching Pass.
